Happy Valentine's Day
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY EVERYONE.
I hope all of you had a WONDERFUL Valentine’s Day. Here at Harding yesterday was crazy. Everyone was getting Valentine’s and the mailboxes were packed. It’s probably the busiest day here on campus. I got lots of wonderful and sweet valentine’s and even got to send my own handmade cards to my friends. I made little A of hearts playing cards that said “you’re a real ace” and Elephants to remind them that elephants never forget so that elephant wont ever let them forget how much I love them. Just some fun corny stuff like that. It did end up being a wonderful day with bible study that night at a little cabin just outside of town. We call it, the log cabin bible study…original isn’t it. Then after bible study, we went to midnight oil for some coffee and games. Time with my friends here is the best and one of my very favorite things about coming here every year for school.
Other than Valentine’s Day life has been wonderful. Classes are going well but I’m beginning to feel the stress from the academics. They are well under way and golf has begun. I have my first tournament this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I only hope its not too cold or rainy over there. I haven’t been able to practice too much though because of all the cold weather over here. Not to mention I have been out of the country for the past few months so I’m a little worried on how everything will go. As for my mission trip to Venezuela this spring break, that is all looking great. We are working really hard to try and raise the money to go down there, and also working on what we are going to teach the children when we get there. I am sooo excited to be able to go down there and talk to the people. I am a Spanish minor so anytime I am able to use Spanish I am very happy. We are also visiting a children’s home when we are there, which is one thing I have such a passion for, little kids. YAY…that’s pretty much how I am feeling about this mission trip. Please be sure to keep us in yours prayers. On top of all this I am also planning a function for my club this Saturday. All is looking great and I just got the preview for our function shirts and they look amazing. Well…there’s a little update of my life. As for now, it’s over and out for me, I’m heading out to the golf course to do a little practicing. Happy Valentine’s day.
In His Love,
Vanessa
